We’ve come a long way since June. Axolotls swam into our biomes, and our hearts. Glow squid lit up our seas, and our lives. Goats have rammed us all, albeit hilariously. We’ve sunk into powder snow, created copper constructions, and spent endless hours admiring amethysts. I just cannot look away. But I am going to have to try, because the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part II is coming on November 30!

Part II gives the mountains and caves that you know and love a makeover. Updated terrain generation, higher peaks, more elaborate cave systems – even the ore veins are larger! They are all so gorgeous so I might have to accept one of the makeovers that my team offers me on the daily. If they can make me look like a lush cave, who am I to say no?

This update also brings CANDLES for everyone. The best light source known to man, or at least this writer, is almost here! Candles bring ambiance. Warmth. A hypnotic flickering flame. What more can you ask for? Well, maybe a candle in a cake. Go on! You’re worth it.

You may have noticed that a few items were missing from the list of new stuff, namely archeology, bundles, and goat horns. This was not just because I couldn’t come up with something quippy to write about them, because I totally could. Archeology? I can dig it! See? Gold. No, these features have been put on hold. They have not been cancelled, we just had to put them on the backburner for now. While they won’t be in the Wild Update, they are going to come to Minecraft in the future when we’re able to add them in the best possible way. Until then, you have a bunch of mountains to climb and caves to dive into. That’s going to take some time, especially if you navigate like I do – minimal planning, maximum confidence.

The Caves & Cliffs Update: Part II will be available on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows 10, and Windows 11 – and Java Edition on Windows, macOS, and Linux. You have until November 30 to decide if you’re going to start off by going high and become a master mountaineer or go low and become a savvy spelunker. Maybe you want to check out the sweet in-between are that is neither cave nor cliff. I think it’s called… the ground? The middle? Turf? Who knows, it doesn’t start with a C so I haven’t been paying attention.

My parents won’t allow me to get this game because it is “too violent”

If we compare the nether fortress to the Basalt Deltas biome do you find that only the Basalt Deltas biome is more dangerous than the nether fortress is?

    4:53 970 FPS WTF

  4. I would like it if caves and clifes part 2 was delayed to 2090

  5. 4:28 a little bit of lush generated inside of the geode lol

  6. When do you think the first 1.19 snapshot will come out?

  8. This update is amazing but it will ruin our fps…..

    "it feels like amplified"
    My weak-ass computer agrees

  10. 8:22 wait a minute, that's the rarest biome! Jungle edge 😮🌟

  11. I'm not even mad they're not adding new items and stuff as the new generation is prolly one of the biggest feature out of all updates

  12. 7:10 look a goat he jumped

  13. I want them to fix the dripstone to where lava and water automaticly flows throu it because when I was exploring the new caves it just looked so ugly do to lava not automatily flowing

    1.16-17: don’t dig straight down
1:18: don’t dig straight down unless you have a water bucket

I love the caves so far! I play with my kid, though, and he’s scared stupid of those caves. We’ll probably end up spending most of our time on the mountains.

  16. I feel like there are to many diamonds down low. Its kind of a problome for my survival experience

I loved the Deep Dark idea when Caves and Cliffs was announced. However, I was worried the deep dark would generate under my bases and cause problems, but with it delayed, I felt better. But, with the deep dark cities, I have a lot to look forward to.

  18. Stealth change your gamma in the options files

  19. Damn… And I remember building my first nether reactor years back!

i'm very excited for this update!
    but
the wild update is still leaving me thinking
the details were so vague for all the features
    and it seems small too
i hope they add alot of things to the wild update before it releases

  21. I know we waited 4 years, but I’m still disappointed, especially since there are only two cave biomes I think they should’ve added another one like crystal caves since they delayed the deep dark

  22. Love the new biomes and generation. How the villages spawn is what I find the most interesting-very dynamic now! I would probably go into caves more, but I like the idea of a huge base with ladders taking me down to low levels. Plus, really ready to get put of my experimental world with these features and have a legit new c&c2 world of 😁
